Hoping to bounce back from a tough week 3, Tennessee leads our selections for week 4.
Last week was a tough one with some tough beats, but that is the way the NFL works. Some weeks you get the bounces and some weeks you want to pull your hair out.
We are currently 8-4 for the season, which is exceptional, but we could easily be 10-2 if not for a late melt down by the Chicago Bears and the Denver Broncos defense taking a vacation in the second half of their game last week. It happens…we move on.
Tennessee -3 over Minnesota
Tennessee is the real deal. They have a very tough defense, a good running game, and they now have a QB that can manage the game, make plays, and not hurt them. Tennessee should be able to control the Vikings running game which means Ferrotte has to beat them…we don’t think he can. Tennessee by 10.
Arizona -1 over New York Jets
The Jets looked awful last week and now face a team that can move the ball up and down the field. Look for Arizona and Warner to throw all day long. This could be a high scoring game and we think the Cardinals do enough to pull out the win.
Carolina -7 over Atlanta
Carolina is much tougher than what the Falcons have beaten in their two wins. Carolina will focus on stopping Turner and Norwood and making Ryan beat them. We don’t think that is going to happen. Carolina by 14.
Tampa Bay -1 over Green Bay
At first we did not like this game…but after looking closely at this game we are going to go with the Bucs. They have a tough defense, they are tough to play in Tampa Bay, and they have enough offense to at least just win. Tampa Bay by at least three.

7-1 for the season! Four more picks today including our Broncos pick.
We have gotten off to a terrific start this season and expect to continue today. Always shop lines…get the best line you can.
As always we remind you that winning with sports betting is a long term deal. Slow and steady wins the race. Bet the same amount on each game. Don’t bet with money you cannot afford to lose.
Chicago -3 over Tampa Bay
Chicago is a pretty good football team…and the Bucs have Brian Griese at QB. Look for the Bears defense to toture Griese. Bears by at least seven.
Tennessee -5.5 over Houston
Tennessee is a much better team with Collins at QB. They also have a GREAT defense. Look for Fischer to outcoach Kubiak and the Tennessee defense to dominate the Texans. Titans by 10 or more.
Indianapolis -5.5 over Jacksonville
Manning is rounding back into form…the Jags have serious problems on the offensive line. Look for the Colts to be aggressive in the air while they work out their run game. Colts by 10.
Denver -5.5 over New Orleans
This game opened with Denver being a 3 point favorite. It has jumped to 5.5 which is a large move. The Saints have injuries on offense and their defense sucks like Denver’s. The big difference is that Denver is at home and the Bronco offense has been brilliant. Can the Broncos score 40…absolutely if weathe conditions permit. Denver by at least a touchdown.

We got off to a great start last week going 4-0. Four more selections for Week 2.
As we mentioned last week…we are not going to give you detailed writeups of the games. Writeups don’t make you any money, they don’t mean a thing.
Winning at sports betting is a long term deal. Slow and steady wins the race, this is not a sprint. Always bet the same amount on each game unless you are in a chase betting system. And don’t bet money you cannot afford to lose.
Indy -1 over Minnesota
The Colts did not look sharp last week against the Bears. Minnesota did not look sharp against the Packers. Both teams cannot be happy about last weeks play. There is a major difference in both teams though and that starts at QB. Peyton Manning, coming off a bad loss, versus Tavaris Jackson? Seems pretty obvious to us. The other issue is that the Colts are far too talented to start the season 0-2. Colts by at least seven.
Jacksonville -4.5 over Buffalo
Wow! Did the Jags offense look bad last week..but that was against a very good Titans defense in a tough place to play. The Bills beat up on a mediocre Seattle team and two of their TD’s were on special teams…which you cannot rely on every week. It is tough to play in Jacksonville because of the heat…look for the Jags to wear the Bills down. Too much is being made of the Bills win over Seattle. Jags by at least seven.
Tennessee -1 over Cincinnati
Weather could be an issue here. The forecast is for gusty winds which plays right into the hands of the Titans. They want to run the football and Cincy wants to throw. The Titans are a better team right now with Collins at QB. The Bengals can’t stop anyone. Tennessee by five or more.
Arizona -6.5 over Miami
While both teams leave a lot to be desired…Miami flat out sucks. Arizona should be able to run and throw all day long. Look for the explosive Cardinal offense to leave wimpy armed Chad Pennington and the Dolphins behind. Cardinals by 10 or more.

Jake Plummer spouts off at the mouth about Jay Cutler and Mike Shanahan.
We won’t waste much time talking about Jake the Mistake on this site because he is not worth it. But a new book coming out gives some insight into what the Broncos were thinking when they benched Lil Jake and decided to go with Jay Cutler.
The only thing Bronco fans really need to know is that Plummer was NOT dedicated to football the way he says he was or the way Jay Cutler is now. Jake the Mistake thinks he can B.S. his way around, but common sense shows that he was tired of playing football and really didn’t take it as seriously as he needed to in order to be a top flight NFL QB.
Let’s take a look at a couple of issues.
1. Plummer got benched by Shanahan and then traded to Tampa Bay. If he REALLY loved football and wanted to play he could have played for the Bucs, who were a pretty solid football team last year. Jeff Garcia, who gets bounched around like Chuck Liddell’s jaw, took Tampa Bay to the playoffs. Plummer, if focused, could have done the same thing. Jake the Mistake showed he did not want to play football by passing up millions of dollars to play for a pretty good team. So stop trying to B.S. everyone Lil Jake.
2. Plummer was NEVER going to be an elite NFL QB. He was capable of looking really good at times, but he needed a very short leash because he was not disciplined enough to control himself on the field. Let’s get real, eight to 10 years into his career he was still making idiotic throws and mistakes. And before you say that Brett Favre does the same thing…please don’t compared Jake the Mistake to Brett Favre.
And finally, does anyone…anyone…think Denver would have been better off sticking with Plummer than going with Cutler? If you think that then slowly back away from the computer, turn it off, call 911 and get some help. Because if you think Plummer was the answer… you have certain mental issues that only a professional can take care of.
Goodbye Jake, stay in Idaho

NFL Picks for week 1
As we mentioned in our first pick of the season with the New York Giants…we are going to give you two to four picks a week. You can do what you want with them.
We will not give you write ups for these games because write ups don’t make you any money. So let’s get started.
We won with the Giants -4.5 so we are 1-0 for the season. Just a reminder, making money betting on any sport is a long term deal. Slow and steady wins the race. Be patient, bet the same amount of money on each game, and shop the lines. Get the best lines you can get.
New Orlean Saints -3 over Tampa Bay
We said we weren’t going to give write ups and what we meant is that we are not going to give detailed write ups. Why do we like the Saints in this game? Because they are the better team, they are at home, they have revenge on their side, and they have an offense led by Drew Brees that is going to be very difficult to stop. Enough said. Take the Saints and give the three.
Philadelphia Eagles -7.5 over St. Louis
Let’s get real here, the Rams were awful last year and will probably be awful this year. They have talent on offense but are led by a wimpy gun shy QB and their offensive line sucks. The Eagles are a legitimate playoff team on offense and defense. The Eagles by 10 or more.
Buffalo Bills -1 over Seattle
Seattle travels bad to the east coast. Buffalo is tough at home. Buffalo to win a close game, all we need is the Bills to win by two or more. We think they get it done.

The New York Giants begin the defense of their Super Bowl title tonight against the Washington Redskins with a bit of a chip on their shoulder.
It is hard to remember a Super Bowl winner getting as little respect as the Giants are getting. Many handicappers and so called experts around the country are predicting the Giants won’t even make the playoffs. They might be right but, still, the Giants are a good football team that will be tough to beat week in and week out if they stay healthy.
Each week we are going to give our picks, two to four of them, for the weekend. We will be giving these picks against the spread. Do what you want with them.
Our first pick of the year is the New York Giants -4.5 over the Washington Redskins. No need for writeups, they don’t make you any money. The Giants appear to be at least a touchdown better right now, so we are going with them.

The Broncos trade Foxworth to the Atlanta Falcons for a low round pick.
Dominique Foxworth was a bit surprised to be informed that Denver was going to trade him or release him as early as today. The Broncos had finally figured out what Foxworth has not realized…he can’t really play. So in the span of training of six weeks Denver has gotten rid of two of their worse players on defense in John Lynch and Foxworth.
Both were good guys in the locker room and off the field, but you have to be able to play on the field and that is where both of them fell far short. Denver has made itself considerably stronger on defense this year. It looks as though they are starting to make decisions that make sense.
Good luck Atlanta, you’ll soon find out you got a good locker room guy that can’t cover a door knob.
